How to join NBKA and BBKA

  • To join NBKA email Janet Bates with your name, address and email address (if not the one used for the contact)
  • Your name will be put on the database and a membership form will be emailed to you for completion on-line.
  • Membership runs from January to December.(There is no pro rata arrangement but if you join between September and December  your subscription will cover membership until December of the following year.)
  • Payments: Standing order or bank transfer payments are preferred. Details are given when you submit your application form. Be sure to add a REFERENCE= SUBS21 YOUR NAME AND FULL INITIALS or Membership number.​
  • If you need to pay by cheque then please let me know.  Cheques are payable to "Nottinghamshire Beekeepers Association"). 
  • ​You will receive an email edition of  BeeMaster, which is the Newsletter of NBKA. Make sure your email address is up to date. This publication comes out monthly.
  • For full members part of your subscription goes to the BBKA (British Beekeepers Association) so you will also become a member of BBKA and will receive their monthly BBKA News which contains many useful articles.
  • ​In addition a small portion of the payment (£2.00) is for  BDI (Bee Disease Insurance) which covers up to 3 colonies. Additional payments can be made by members with more colonies on a sliding scale- see membership form. ​
  • RENEWALS- will be sent by email to be completed online.

**** BDI is a sliding scale.
On your form put the ADDITIONAL COLONIES over 3 that you have i.e. the number of your colonies minus 3.
The basic subscription insures up to 3 colonies. Extra colonies are on a sliding scale:
1-3 colonies included in your subs;
4-5 colonies..£2.00;                         6-10 colonies..£5.25;              11-15 colonies..£7.75;                16-20 colonies..£9.50;                                                              21-25 colonies,, £11.10;                     26-30 colonies.. £13.60;          31-35 colonies..£16.10;            36-39 colonies..£18.10.
